Florida Reniassance Festival Miami
In 1993, the Florida Renaissance Festival began hosting 16th century re-creation. Today the two locations include Miami with more than 100 costumed performers, five stages with nonstop entertainment and stage acts from around the world near Historic Virginia Beach Park.
Two weekends, Saturday and Sunday, March 31-April 8, 2012, revelers can enjoy the Florida Renaissance Festival in Miami from 10:00 a.m. to sunset at the Cauley Square Historic Village.
Sit back and enjoy the show as hundreds of performers on multiple stages bring Renaissance history to life with costumed knights, minstrels, magicians, and wenches. Enjoy historical reenactments, such as three daily jousting tournaments, sword fights, and magical illusions. Feed your hunger with authentic fare from freshly made kettle corn to roasted giant turkey legs, and quench your thirst with swig of mead or ale.
The family-friendly festival also includes rides and games for children including the World’s Largest Rocking Horse, Giant Chess, Barrel Rides, and games of chance and skill.
Browse displays from over one hundred merchants and artisans who demonstrate glass blowing, hammer pewter, shape wooden toes and unique pottery, and of course, allow you to purchase their wares.
The Florida Renaissance Festival is produced by the national, award winning Bobby Rodriguez Production. The event is hosted by City of Miami Parks and Recreation Department and Historic Virginia Key Beach Park.
Prices for the Florida Renaissance Festival in Miami are $20.00 for adults; $7 for children ages 6 to 11; and children under 5 are free. Season passes are $30 for adults and $15 for children under 12. Pre-show discount tickets are available online.
