The 20th Annual International Mango Festival

The 2012 theme for the International Mango Festival is “The Mangos of Fairchild Evolution.”  In its 20th year, the two-day festival offers attendees mango-themed events, including educational seminars, the world’s largest mango exhibit, mango culinary demonstrations, and fun activities for the kids.

After twenty growing seasons, the fertile land of Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden has yielded flavorful, fiberless mangos, exhibiting the horticultural advances and modern production systems of today. The 20th annual International Mango Festival celebrates the advances of mango farming by teaching, learning and tasting the mango.

Educational programs during the event focus on the evolution of the Fairchild Mangos and the fruit in other countries, as well as growing techniques. Complement the teaching component of the International Mango Festival with a unique mango brunch, International Fruit Market, and participate in a mango auction.
